There has been minimal evolution of the protective surfboard bag design since its inception. SOMA has taken board bags to the next level engaging compounded functionality of Medical Grade Polyester with PVC triple coated materials and sonic heat welding. The result: A single continuous piece of material making SOMA AirBags virtually stitch free & seamless for unmitigated strength. Our bags also have the convenience of compact portability along with less weight (deflates and rolls into a 26”x7” carrying bag).

SOMA’s patented AIR-P™ [Asymmetrical Interior Rocker Protection] technology protects your board from flexing or snapping due to extreme impacts. This is due to the interior shape compensation protecting the nose and tail rocker. Narrow linear air columns surrounding your board keeps the protective air pressure isolated, firm and disperses energy to deflect damaging contact with your board. This includes an individual column that wraps around the circumference of the rails that is also fused with 7mm closed cell foam for double rail protection as well as extra reinforcement around the tail and nose. It is also common knowledge that a snug fitting board bag offers the best protection and SOMA AirBag Designs™ literally mold around your board like a glove.
